After implementing the missing piece of our blogging system, the RSS-output, I didn't want to stop there and decided to have a bit of fun. I took an extra 15 minutes to create a simple proof of concept for audio-podcast from our otherwise so text-and-images based blog.
The solution was simple – I took Alex from Leopard to help me out with the voice and generated bunch of audio files from blog articles. Creating audio files from text in Mac OS-s shell is easy, just go with command 'say -f outfile.aiff "I'm a huge metal fan"' and you get audio file saying what you've just typed.

Next step was to generate podcast-feed output and subscribe to this via iTunes:



Though, this is something you probably won't see in Edicy's production version.
